About Our Preschool

In January 2016 the new purpose built Alstonville Community Preschool opened its doors.

We have two classrooms (Lilli Pilli room and Tree Frog room), and a wonderful outdoor space adjoining the classrooms via a wide deck area, which enables us to link indoor and outdoor learning throughout the day.

We offer five 2 day groups across the week. One of these groups is a learning in nature program.

Due to current funding arrangements in NSW, and the requirement that children in their year before school should attend preschool at least 15 hours each week, we must prioritise enrolments to children who turn 4 by 31st July, and who could attend school the following year, or children between 3-5 yrs of age with a Health Care Card.

Our goals for the future are clear:

  • To provide an exceptional early childhood education service to children and families in the local community;
  • To place children at the forefront of all service decisions
  • That the preschool strives to be accessible to all families and caters to the predicted growth, development and needs of the Alstonville area.
  • To become an integral part of our community by working with schools, businesses, community groups, council and the general public to create a sense of belonging and awareness of the importance of the value of early childhood education.
  • To become leaders in creating a cohesive and child focussed educational platform for our children as they embark on their educational pathways.
