Play Based Learning

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Our educational program is child centred and play based. Much of our days are spent outdoors in nature, using natural and open-ended materials for learning.

Early Childhood Teachers and qualified educators use a collaborative planning approach that values the ideas and thoughts of children and utilises the varied talents, skills and interests of all of our educators.

Each child’s interests and current knowledge are central to the planning of the program with educators observing, supporting and documenting moments along each child’s learning journey, with information from home and family to deepen that learning

THE EARLY YEARS FRAMEWORK

The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia: Belonging, Being & Becoming V 2.0 guides what we do with children every day and ensures that all children experience play-based learning that is engaging and builds success for life.

The five Learning Outcomes of the Framework are used to ensure the development of all children across these areas. The outcomes are:
• Children have a strong sense of identity
• Children are connected with and contribute to their world
• Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
• Children are confident and involved learners
• Children are effective communicators
